Bodyguard
Bodyguard: This character may enter play exerted. An opposing character who challenges one of your characters must choose one with Bodyguard if able.
While a Bodyguard is exerted, it shields everything else. Challengers have to deal with it first. That's why it may enter play exerted: it can start protecting right away, even though that makes it challengeable.
In short: A wall. While it is exerted, your opponent has to get through it before they can challenge anything else of yours.
